DEVELOPMENTS SECURES CALL CENTRE PRE-LET IN GLASGOW
Shepherd Developments
has purchased from Glasgow Development Agency a 6.5 acre (2.6 hectare)
site at Cardonald Park, situated at Junction 25 of the M8 Motorway,
Glasgow. The site fronts the Motorway Junction and benefits from easy
access both into Glasgow City Centre and to the Airport. Shepherd
Developments has in turn pre-let a 65,000 square foot (6,040 m2)
Call Centre building to Thomson Holidays and Lunn Poly for 15 years.
The state of the art Call Centre will be shared by the two sister
companies and will provide up to 1,000 jobs over the next few years.
Commenting on the pre-let, Mark Shepherd, Chairman
and Managing Director of Shepherd Developments said: “We are
particularly pleased to have secured this project. Shepherd companies
are providing an integrated ‘one stop shop’ for Thomson
and Lunn Poly, including developer, architect and structural engineer,
main contractor and mechanical and electrical engineer.”
It is anticipated that the scheme will be partly operational by
the beginning of September 2000, with completion by November.
